
Luca Hänni has been announced as having a role in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
SSR SRG has revealed on social media that Eurovision 2019 participant Luca Hänni will “be a part of Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel”. The role that the former Swiss Eurovision representative will have in the shows has not been announced, however it is likely he will feature in a performance during one of the live shows.
Luca Hänni represented Switzerland at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel and brought Switzerland their first qualification for the final since 2014. The singers participation marked a turning point for Switzerland’s results in the contest with “She Got Me” finishing 4th, the countries best result since 1993 when they placed 3rd.
The Swiss broadcaster is set to reveal more details of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 at a press conference in the host city on April 14. The press conference will give details on the Opening Ceremony, show concept, first interval acts, transport concept, event app and more public value projects being held across Basel.
Eurovision 2025
Switzerland earned the honor of hosting Eurovision 2025 after Nemo triumphed at the 2024 contest with their song “The Code”. The song scored an impressive 591 points, 365 from the jury and 226 from the televote, securing Switzerland’s first victory since 1988.
The 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Basel on May 13, 15, and 17, 2025.
