So far during the Eurovision 2025 season, it’s been all about the national selections. But now, Azerbaijan have jumped out of the starting blocks as the first country to release their internally selected song. You can now listen to Mamagama’s “Run With U.”
The trio have been teasing their entry over the last two weeks with dramatic promo videos featuring shrieking cries and robot production factories. The song release is accompanied by the official music video, so it’s time to finally find out what the group have been cooking up.
Mamagama – “Run With U” (Azerbaijan Eurovision 2025)
Mamagama — made up of Asaf on vocals, Huss on guitar and Arif on drums– formed in 2021 and are known for blending modern sounds with the musical heritage of Azerbaijan. This results in a unique fusion of rock, pop and traditional elements.
Speaking about the chance to participate at Eurovision, Asaf noted:
“It’s an honour for me to be representing Azerbaijan on such a big stage with our culture. I deeply love the land where I was born, and this is a chance to share its beauty and spirit with all of Europe. Our song is a true representation of our country’s essence. We are incredibly excited and believe that our entry will leave a lasting impact.”
The name Mamagama refers to two forces — the ultimate creator and source of life, “Mama,” plus the full spectrum of sound across time and space, “Gama.” The group aim to provide a sound that is as deep and familiar as a mother’s heartbeat, yet as limitless and electric as a gamma wave.
