Basketball superstar LeBron James is closing in on another major NBA milestone.
The 40-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star is poised to move up to second in the list of the NBA’s all-time regular season games played.
LeBron is currently fourth in the list, behind Vince Carter (1541), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1560), and leader Robert Parish (1611).
It is well within James’ grasp to overtake Carter and Abdul-Jabbar before the 2024/25 regular season is over.
In a sport where debates rage as to who is the greatest of all time – with Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Abdul-Jabbar all in the mix – three-time Olympic gold medallist James would certainly stand to advance his case if he is able to underline his already remarkable longevity.
James already leads the league in most playoff games played with 287 to his name ahead of Derek Fisher in second with 259.
